Technology at South Hill Elementary!

South Hill Elementary celebrated Dr. Seuss Day with a Soor Decorating Contest.  Many teachers incorporated technology into their door design by using digital pictures of themselves and students.  Here are just a few examples!

Mrs. Haskins' Class enjoyed making a digital book called What is Christmas? for their parents as a holiday gift.  You can check it out on Mrs. Haskins' blog.  This is the picture they used as the ending of their book.

Mr. Reed's class uses the laptops regularly to enhance instruction and review for SOLs!

Mrs. Edwards uses the smartboard in her classroom for everyday instruction!  Her students enjoy the interactive qualities of using Smartboard!

GATE students enjoyed using the Gizmos program to experiment with plant growth.  This hands on site helps students see the scientific process in action by allowing students to make a hypothesis, test it, and see the results immediately!  Growing plants without sunlight has never been easier!

Ms. Joyner's class interacted with the Smartboard to find lines of symmetry during math class.

The document camera helps Mrs. Adcock create a visual students can see no matter where they sit!
